Getting started

How long does it take to set up a league?

Most volunteer admins finish the setup wizard in under 10 minutes. You add the league name, sport, age groups, season dates, and registration fee. Teams and players can be added in bulk via CSV or one at a time.

Do I need a separate app for parents and coaches?

No. The same web product works for admins, coaches, and parents, each role sees a different dashboard. A native mobile app is launching September 2026 for parents who want push notifications.

Can I migrate from TeamSnap, SportsEngine, or LeagueApps?

Yes. You can import teams, players, and schedules via CSV. We are building one-click importers for TeamSnap and SportsEngine, contact support if you need help with a migration this season.

Pricing & payments

What does it cost?

Two plans: Community ($49/month) for leagues under 250 players, and Club ($99/month) for leagues up to 1,500 players. Both plans include unlimited admins, coaches, parents, teams, seasons, and notifications. 14-day free trial. Annual billing is 2 months free.

How are registration payments collected?

Through Stripe Connect. Parents pay registration fees directly to your league's Stripe account, we do not touch the money. There is no platform fee on top of Stripe's standard processing rate (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). You keep 100% of every dollar parents pay.

Can parents pay by check or cash?

Yes. Admins can manually mark a player as paid for cash or check payments. The dashboard tracks all payment statuses in one place.

Are refunds supported?

Full refunds via Stripe with one click. Refund reason is captured for your records.

Children's data & safety (COPPA)

Do you collect information from children under 13?

We do not collect information directly from children. Player profiles for minors are created by an authenticated parent, guardian, or league administrator who confirms they have authority to provide that information. We follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Do you display photos of children?

No. LeagueReady never displays, stores, or accepts uploads of children's photos. Team logos and adult coach photos are supported, but player profiles never include images.

Can a parent delete their child's information?

Yes. A parent can request deletion of their child's profile at any time by emailing privacy@goleagueready.com or by asking the league admin to remove the player. We delete or anonymize the data within 30 days.

What data do you collect about a player?

First name, last name, date of birth (for age group placement), jersey number, t-shirt size, allergies (optional, for safety), parent/guardian contact, and emergency contact. That is everything. No social security numbers, no addresses, no medical history beyond allergies.

Coaches, parents & messaging

How do I invite a coach?

Send an invite from the Coaches page. The coach receives an email link to create an account. Coaches can only see their assigned team, they cannot view league-wide data.

Can parents message my coaches?

Parents can read team chats but cannot start direct messages with admins or coaches. This prevents the inbox flood that volunteer admins typically face. Only league admins can initiate a direct conversation.

Are background checks supported?

Background check status (none, invited, pending, approved, expired, failed) is tracked per coach. Direct integration with Checkr is on the 2026 roadmap. Today the status is updated by the admin after running the check through their preferred provider.

Security & data

Where is my data hosted?

On servers in the United States (Vercel for the web app, Render for the API, Neon for the database). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Do you sell data?

No. We never sell personal information. We do not run advertising. Our entire revenue comes from the monthly subscription you pay.

What happens if I cancel?

You can export all your data (rosters, schedules, results) as CSV before canceling. After cancellation we delete your account and personal data within 90 days. Anonymous aggregate analytics may be retained.
